Relaxed Outfit on a Budget

Hey ladies! It’s so good to be here writing again after taking time off. I know life is still crazy but doing little things everyday that you love will help you hold your sanity. Yesterday my husband and I went to a delicious taco spot and placed a to go order. We stopped at the beach and ate it whilst sitting in the back of our car and drinking a delicious beer. It’s all in the little things. We walked on the beach and talked and it was one of the best days we’ve had during this quarantine. The outfit I wore yesterday was one of  the most comfortable I own and all of it was either on clearance or thrifted.

IMG_6140IMG_6132IMG_6142

These jeans are my absolute favorite! The fit is amazing and they’re very unique. They’re the Levi 721 High Rise Skinny jeans. I scored mine at TJ Maxx for $20 which was one of my best finds, however they have cute ones on the website too! The sweater was a stellar thrift store find. It is a warm navy blue knit sweater by Kendra Scott. When I found it, it was much larger than I would normally purchase and it had shoulder pads.. not a fan. But I saw potential. So I bought it for $3, washed it, ripped out the shoulder pads, and gave it a nice crop. Unfortunately I can’t link it, but go to your local thrift store and use your imagination for something cute like this.

*Side note: The extremely adorable corduroy scrunchie I have on my wrist  is one of the many I have purchased from a cute site called ShopPosey. She is a small business (love them) and works so hard to make quality extremely cute scrunchies.

The shoes I’m wearing are just classic cream slip on vans. I purchased them a few years ago and they are one of my favs. I purchased them on sale, but dont know if they’re running anymore sales or have them in stock.

Corduroy is back!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a fabulous day, I’m at the coffee shop, taking a break from being home to write this post!

My absolute favorite 90’s trend is back — Corduroy. If you don’t like it, totally cool, it’s definitely not for everyone, but I love it. I remember growing up I had a really cute pair of black corduroy overalls that I would wear ALLL the time.

I always love a good corduroy piece of clothing, but I’m also jumping on the corduroy crossbody/tote train. They are so adorable and flow with any outfit you wear.

IMG_5128IMG_5115IMG_5147

(Jeans: American Eagle // Sweatshirt: HM // Jacket: Zara (similar and ON SALE) // Shoes: Vans // Crossbody: Madewell // Sunglasses: Amazon )

This is such a good outfit. We went for breakfast out of town after our yoga class and this was the go to. It was comfortable, warm enough, and the layers weren’t super annoying like they generally can be. This cross body is so good. It’s so soft and versatile and goes with everything. It holds all of the necessities but isn’t too bulky, it’s great quality and def worth the price. I would have preferred to wear some type of combat boot with this outfit, so if you have some, go for it. I unfortunately haven’t purchased a pair yet so I stuck with the classic slip on sneakers.

Relaxed cozy outfit

Hey ladies! Happy New Year! I hope you are cuddled up watching movies and eating allll the sugar cookies with the ones you love. I’m currently wishing I was at a coffee shop with my man reading a book (Super Attractor by Gabrielle Burnstein/check it out!!) but instead I’m spending the hour I have writing a blog post before getting ready for work.

Honestly around the holidays when all I want to do is relax and eat, I want an outfit that’s cute, but not uncomfortable.

Trust me, I’m a girl who would LOVE to get decked out in sparkles and sequins for the holidays, but we just don’t celebrate like that.

Today’s outfit is a pair of my fav leggings, a cozy henley, a jean jacket, and some cute UGG boots. Bloggers who dress up and have huge families are seriously goals, but this blogger is not that which I think relates more to you guys anyways!

(Jacket: Levi’s // Leggings: Fabletics // Henley: Aerie (Similar) // Bag: Madewell // Socks: Madewell // Boots: UGG // Necklace: The Styled Collection )

I got these UGGS on sale at an outlet mall for more than 50% off, so if you want to save your pennies, shop there first. I got the henley secondhand for about $5, and the jean jacket at TJ Maxx for $40. The bag is my favorite though, Lu bought me it for Christmas and I die every time I look at it and feel how soft the suede is. He also got me the cute leopard socks, LOVE. Most of what I buy is on sale or second hand, I prefer to buy this way to, again, save my pennies and to be more ethical with my second hand finds.

Let me know what your favorite go to outfit is to be comfy and cozy!

( Jacket: Vici (similar) / Jeans: American Eagle /  Shirt: TJ maxx find (similar) / Shoes: Vans / Crossbody: Tory Burch (similar)

This outfit is so versatile and great for cooler weather. I have had all of the pieces for at least a year now and LOVE them. I linked similar items since most either are out of season or out of stock.

(Jacket: Vici (similar) /  Jeans: Abercrombie / Booties: Lucky Brand (similar) / Backpack: Target )

This outfit is everything!! The jeans feel like leggings they are so comfortable. The jacket is so cozy it helps you survive a chilly Seattle night out. The boots I’m wearing are from about 3 seasons ago but I linked equally as cute ones with the same vibe. Love this outfit for everyday style and nights out in the city!

(Also because I know I will get questions this is the styling tool I used for my hair.)

Cool Weather Must Haves

Alright ladies. It’s getting cooler (in some places, sorry to those who live in the south) I know here in WA it is 62 degrees and its almost noon. Oh boy. I had planned a cute crop top outfit with my distressed jeans but then thought…. Meagan, you live your life freezing. Don’t make a bad decision.

So that is what brings me to this post. Jackets are my life. Sweaters, cardigans, jean, rain, whatever kind of warm cover up you can think of, I’m here for it.

With that being said there are SO many options. But my first love will always be my jean jacket. It is so versatile, it’s super casual, but it adds a uniqu-ness to any outfit.

IMG_3299IMG_3301

Jacket: Levi’s  /  Jeans:  American Eagle (similar)  /  Tee: Garage (similar) /  Wallet: Target

Like I had mentioned in a previous post, I RARELY buy anything full price if I can help it. So the Levi’s link is the jacket however I bought mine at TJ Maxx for like $30. Similar with the whole outfit, all was either clearance or sold at their outlet stores.

Let’s talk flannels. They can make an outfit 100x better. They are cozy, versatile, and perfect on a cooler but not cold day. To be honest I rarely buy my own flannels (lol, sorry Lu) but my husband’s flannels make the perfect cozy outfit tie together. They are warm, baggy, and super cute.

Shoes: Steve Madden  / Jeans: American Eagle  / Flannel: J Crew Factory / Purse: Abercrombie & Fitch

This whole outfit was purchased on a sale of some kind or was gifted! So comfortable and cozy. For cooler weather I would switch out the shoes for some cute boots or booties.

Let me know what your favorite cooler weather must haves are!

My Favorite “throw together” outfits

Hey babes! Happy September! How is it already almost fall?? Before everyone starts throwing around pumpkin spice and everything nice, I wanted to share my favorite everyday quick outfits.

I love these for errand running, coffee dates, and let’s be real, anytime dressing up isn’t required.

IMG_3066IMG_3064

Flannel: JCrew  /  Jeans: American Eagle (similar)  /  Shoes: Steve Madden (ON SALE)  /  Bag: A&F (no longer sold)  /  Undershirt (not seen):  H&M

The next outfit is SUPER thrown together, actually for a coffee date with a friend this morning. It was unusually sunny and warm today and I am so glad I decided on this tank rather than the long sleeve I was going to wear. My top is no longer sold, but linked is a pretty satin tank. As well as an equally as gorgeous bandeau.

IMG_3285

Tank: A&F  /  Bandeau: Aerie  / Jeans: American Eagle  / Bracelets: Earthbound Trading  / Phone case: Loopy Cases (ON SALE) /

Alright ladies. This next one is a great outfit for transitioning into fall. Not every fall outfit has to involve fall colors, you can dial it down with all back and an accent jacket. Whether the weather is warm or cool you’re prepared! The jacket is kind of pricey if you buy it through the Levi’s website. BUT good news, I found mine at TJ Maxx for like $20! Look around for good deals, you’ll find them!

IMG_2872IMG_2876

Top: American Eagle (ON SALE)  /  Jacket: Levi’s  / Jeans: American Eagle  / Shoes: Vans  / Hair ties: Invisibobble

These basics are my favorite and great transitions into the fall season. Try them out and let me know how much you love them too!!

Affordable Everyday Outfit

Happy Monday! Ladies, how is it already 8 days into July?!?

I wanted to share two everyday outfits that are super affordable and SO comfortable.

My go to’s this summer have been some type of classic worn in jean and some type of blouse/cardigan combo. Summers here in WA vary, some days are sunny and hot (75 degrees max most of the time lol) and some days are dreary and cool.

IMG_2244IMG_2242

(Grey V neck: Abercrombie&Fitch / Jeans: AmericanEagle / Sandals: SteveMadden / Bralette: Vici / Sunglasses: Sojo )

The V neck t-shirts above are SO good. They are loose fitted and so freaking soft, I was able to snag three of them on huge sale! I think they came out to about $10 each (STEAL). The sandals are a little pricey but they were a gift and the jeans were bought secondhand. I’m allll about saving money when shopping for clothes.

IMG_2363IMG_2348IMG_2358

(Black V neck: Abercrombie&Fitch /Jeans: AmericanEagle / Sweater: Old Navy (no longer available)/ Bag: Abercrombie&Fitch (on Clearance!!)/ Earrings: Olive+Piper (no longer available)/ Slides: mine are the brand “mix no. 6” but these are similar)

This outfit is so great. It’s versatile and basic but flattering. This outfit would be so easy to recreate with even lesser priced items. Like I previously said, I mainly purchase my items on sale, secondhand, or I receive them as gifts, but like items are everywhere!

If you love basics as much as I do, comment below and let me know an item you CANT live without!

Favorite Workout Clothing

Hello again, I am back. Boy has it been awhile. You know when life just happens and gets in the way of everything you had planned? Well that has been the past few months.

I’m here to share my absolute FAVORITE workout pieces. As you know I am a health and fitness coach along with writing this blog, so a good piece of workout clothing is key to that side of my life. For the longest time I was SO SO against Lululemon. Not because I had tried it and hated it, but because I hated the price and didn’t believe the quality would be worth it. Boy was I wrong. The quality is unparalleled.

I am obsessed with the Align pant as well as the Wunder Under leggings. They feel like butter and they hug you just right. Yes, the price tag isn’t anyone’s favorite BUT I’m here to help. Outlets. Yes they have outlet stores. Find one and run. The prices are at least $30 less than the normal retail price AND if you are either military (or spouse) OR a yoga instructor you get 25% off!! I have bought 2 pairs of leggings and paid the same as I would for other brands for much more comfort! Their bralettes are amazing and fairly priced as well, but if you are larger chested, I would stick to a normal sports bra.

(Pictured: Align Pant and Bralette)

Okay you guys. I know, not everyone will get the extra percentage off, so Lululemon still may not be for everyone, totally understandable.

So let’s move on to my next favorite. Fabletics. Hands down, second fav. The sizing is a little off in my opinion (size up) but other than that the quality is great. I love the variety of styles that are offered as well as the variety of colors and patterns. The price can be steep if you don’t sign up for the VIP membership. It is super easy, gives you a huge discount and if you don’t want your selected outfit you just skip the month. I have gotten multiple pieces that I absolutely LOVE for the fraction of other brand’s prices. I love Fabletics for everyday wear, I mean who doesn’t love wearing leggings all day everyday? The style and the comfort make them great for outdoor activities.

Obviously there are MANY other brands that are fantastic, but these are my top two recommendations if you’re into great workout gear!

Current favorite outfits

Y’all any outfit that includes a basic tee, a cute cardigan, and a kicka** pair of boots has me swooning. This fall season I have been cycling through two of my fav outfits (and by cycling I mean doing my best to wear as often as possible without people thinking its all I wear). BUT at this point I don’t even care.

IMG_7247IMG_7235IMG_7282

IMG_7269IMG_7272

This outfit is so classy and fashionable. I love the look of the thigh high boots with the cardigan and bag. The tassle earrings are a must and they come in three different colors. Any basic tee would work under the cardigan, I went for a v neck long sleeve (for those chilly days.)

Cardigan (no longer in stock, but this one is cute and comfy) | Tee | Jeans | Boots (on sale!) | Bag | Earrings | Sunglasses

Now for my second favorite. I love the green cardigan with the white and the jeans. Olive green is one of my fav colors to wear, I have green eyes and it really makes them pop! These booties are a MUST. I love the color and the chunky heel. They are so cute and so comfy, for a great price!

Fall Fashion Favs

Happy October 1st y’all! There is nothing I love more than Fall and the fashion that comes in tow. Boots, booties, jeans, sweaters, ahhhh. (can you tell I’m just a bit excited?) I

Most of the items in this post are either budget friendly to start with or you can find them on a great sale.

Coziest, most comfortable long sleeve tee with a cute knot in the front. These jeans are my absolute FAV. They are high waisted, super flattering and a bit distressed, so comfy. These sandals were a gift from my husband from Greece, but here are similar styled ones!

This outfit is perfect for a chilly fall day. I got this sweater at TJ Maxx on sale for $15, amazing I know! I’ll like the original below. This shade of blue is so perfect to pair with dark jeans and these nude booties. These jeans are mid waisted and oh so delightful.

Sweater (similar, but this one is on sale!) | Jeans | Booties

Hands down my favorite outfit. Camo is def in this season along with the matching rain boots. When you live in the PNW you need some, unless you want soggy shoes, of course. But this shirt is very light weight and comfortable and is cut almost to be a crop.

Are y’all sick of me telling you every piece so far is my favorite? Because this outfit is perfect. I love the lightweight top, with the cozy bell sleeved cardigan (that is so long and beautiful) and these boots. OMG. My husband bought them for me for my b-day like 2 years ago.. best husband ever. These boots are expensive, but they are so so worth every penny. Of course nowadays there are multiple brown boots to choose from, but if you can swing it, buy these!

All J Crew factory items are currently on sale for 40-50% off and some of the Francesca’s items as well! Hurry and scoop them up before they sell out.

Honestly, I wish I could list every single fall fashion item in my closet but that would take forever. So these are just a few of my favorites. I hope y’all enjoy them and help spark some inspiration in your wardrobes this season!
