Weekend Travel Fun- Leavenworth Guide

So this past week my husband and I had the best time! We took the few days I had off of work to explore more of Washington. We started our little adventure going to this cute little town called Leavenworth. I’ve posted previously about this place, but it is so magical and fun that I wanted to share again.

First off, if you go it’s worth it to stay in a hotel or Air Bnb. The hotels are themed with the town and so adorable. We stayed at a resort called “The Sleeping Lady.” They have the cutest cabin type rooms, ours had plenty of sleeping space if we had more guests with us and it also had a really cute loft area, which was great because Lu had a final to finish so I hung out up there and watched tv! I unfortunately didn’t get any pictures but trust me, it’s the cutest spot.

The first place we stopped when we got in was Icicle Brewing. I didn’t get a pic, but we did have some delicious beers and really good pretzel. It was probably one of my favorite places, it had such a good vibe.

The next day we woke up, and got some coffee, we stopped at Argonaut Espresso Bar, I got two shots of espresso on ice and it was SO good. Great quality. They also have a tiny little seating area outside with a fire, really nice.

We stopped and got pastries so we skipped breakfast, but for lunch so we stopped at Rhein Haus. We stopped here last time and it was so good. Their brats are amazing and have great flavor. (If you like brats) Their beers were also so good. They have great outdoor seating with fires, super comfortable.

Next, we also stopped at the same place that we did last time, Sulla Vita. Last time we shared a pizza and loved it so this time we went back and shared pasta. It was their Chicken Alfredo and my goodness it was delicious. They made it so easy for us to share and the service was great.

After we ate our weight in brats and pasta we went to Silvara Cellars Winery, and did a little wine tasting. This place was so pretty, a little outside of downtown it was on a hill overlooking the mountains and everything below. The wine was quality and the staff were so pleasant and helpful.

After the winery we ended up at Lake Wenatchee. It was honestly one of the most beautiful views I’ve seen in Washington. The lake was so still the mountains reflected perfectly. The walk in was snow filled but the lake was perfect.

When we got back from Lake Wenatchee we were (surprisingly) hungry again, we went to a place called South. They are a Latin American restaurant and so good. We only got chips and guac/salsa and drinks but it was delicious. I got a margarita and it was literally the best. We really want to come back to this place to try the carnitas.

After South, honestly I was a little tipsy lol, so we stopped and got a coffee and some chocolates at another really cute coffee/chocolate shop. It is called Icicle Coffee & Chocolates. The staff were so sweet and the truffles were so good!! I got a dark chocolate cappuccino truffle and a dark chocolate caramel truffle. I didn’t get a picture of them but believe they were delicious!

We kept busy the whole Friday adventuring/eating food and drinking so we ended up leaving pretty early on Saturday. I think we left around 8am. It was a really fun trip even with all of the restrictions and limited places to eat. Highly recommend going if you live nearby or plan to be in WA.

What is your favorite food item or drink to get when on vacation??
